Lemon Scented Myrtle

Darwinia citriodora

A compact, rounded shrub, it’s best used as a foliage plant in groups of three or more. Its winter colouring of dark purple leaves, attractive lemon-scented foliage and the fact that it is virtually pest-free make it an ideal plant for this purpose. Pretty pendulous clusters of flowers bloom from July often through to January and mature from a yellow with red stigmas to an orange red.
