We want to reward and recognise your own Native Plant Projects.


Share with us how your Australian garden grows – large or small, city or country, courtyard or big backyard – in our How Does Your Garden Grow competition.

 

It’s easy to enter with some great prizes up for grabs as well as the chance for your garden to be featured right here on the Native Plant Project e-magazine.

Entry Eligibility

We want to celebrate your passion for growing and caring for your own Native Plant Project.

If you have an Australian garden that features at least 50% native varieties, you’re eligible to enter.

Share with us your garden story – we’re looking for native plants used and how you’ve overcome site challenges to your garden’s creativity, functionality and general aesthetic. Sustainable garden practices will also be considered favourably.

Gardens Large & Small

All sizes of Native Plant Projects will be recognised.

No matter the scale of your garden, all sizes of Native Plant Projects can enter our competition. From a tiny balcony to a larger country garden, you’ll be able to select the category that best applies when you submit your entry. We’ll be recognising winners in four categories as well as an overall How Does Your Garden Grow winner.

How To Enter

It’s easy to enter:

  1. Select the category you’re entering your garden in to – Coastal, Country, Suburban or Courtyard/Balcony
  2. Simply provide a written submission of up to 500 words detailing your own garden’s story
  3. Submit your garden description along with a maximum of 10 images of your garden to best showcase your achievements via our online entry process below
  4. Videos are also welcome to highlight your project along with any site plans too (optional)

 

Prizes

Our judges will award the best Coastal, Country, Suburban and Courtyard/Balcony garden, as well as an overall winner with the following prizes:

Category Winners: 

  • $500 Native Plant Project voucher to redeem for your choice of plants from our e-nursery
  • Invitation to the Native Plant Project Lunch at Red Rocks in Victoria, including a private garden tour


Overall How Does Your Garden Grow Winner:

  • $1,500 cash prize
  • Professional photography of your winning garden for publication on the Native Plant Project’s e-magazine
