From the hardy Kunzea species, this plant is drought and frost tolerant  and loves a good pruning to help it maintain its shape. An attractive feature shrub or screening plant, the silver foliage is the perfect backdrop for the deep red bottlebrush flowers that appear in late winter through to spring. While the flowers are popular with wildlife, they’re followed by small fruits that release small seeds when ripe which make it the perfect end of season spot for dessert for birds.
